Altar Guild and Altar Flowers

• Altar Guild:  The Altar Guild's ministry at Christ Church is to provide assistance to the clergy and congregation by preparing the Altar for Sunday liturgies, other liturgical celebrations, and for weddings and funerals.
  
  Altar Guild members serve on an annual rotation for a month at a time.  A monthly planning meeting is usually held at 9:30 a.m. on the first Saturday before the first Sunday of each month.
  
  Membership in the Altar Guild is open to all members of Christ Church (women and men) eleven years old and up, regardless of gender.

   

• Altar Flowers: Anyone may give flowers in memoriam or in thanksgiving throughout the year.  Please contact the parish office at 319 752 1381, or email the church , for list of available dates. PLEASE NOTE: Altar flowers are not used during Lent or Holy Week.

  
  A fund is collected for purchasing flowers and plants for the Christmas and Easter services.  You may donate to this fund either in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving.  Loved ones being honored will be listed in the appropriate bulletin.
